Singapore, being such a small island, is badly polluted by lights. So, we have to move to a dark spot away from the city light for star-gazing. Overseas and offshore islands dark sites are a good candidate. TASOS organised many stargazing trips that have taken some TASOS members to places in East Malaysia, Thailand, Semakau Island and etc. to view milkyway, deep sky objects, meteor showers, comets, eclipses and other celestial events.
